🏈 Canon Camera Buttons Not Working
Hi all! I have a problem with my Canon 50D. There are times where the camera will be focusing automatically, and pressing any other button won't work - except the dials, the joystick and the shutter button. Switching to CA mode confirmed that the AF-ON is the problem - it says "Function The same is done with AF-S, but it stopped AF once obtained. Extra behavior to note. With AF decoupled from the shutter button (for back button focusing) press the shutter half way and the camera will stop down for AE anyway. So rather than be able to just calculate and simulate the exposure it also stops down. 09-21-2019 03:57 PM. Hey folks! Just now I was about to record with my M50 and noticed that nothing happened when I pressed the shutter button. I tried changing the SD card but it was the same, and I can take photos just fine. However, the only thing that happens when I press the button in movie recording mode is that the menus "blink". Remove the battery, turn the camera on and let it sit overnight. That will drain the internal battery and should get you back to factory new. If that doesn't solve your problem then its a camera repair issue. John Hoffman. Inside the camera, there are pins above the winder that have contact with gold plates. One was bent, not allowing current to flow when the shutter is fired. Pics are attached. If anyone has any power issues with on and off, power winder or timer issues, this area is the place to check. The camera and lens need a tune-up; After using your camera for some time or just buying a new lens, you may find that your camera’s autofocus is not working well and you get blurry photos for no apparent reason. This might mean that your camera and certain lenses aren’t playing together nicely and it is time for a tune-up or a calibration. If so, that board/button combination would need to be replaced. I would have it checked out by an authorized Canon dealer to make sure of the exact problem and repair. You could first try a reset of the camera in the menu options. You might get lucky. 09-19-2014 01:53 AM. If you have not had any problem with exposure to moisture or condensation in the camera, and if the G1X does not have loose-parts rattling inside, has not been dropped then you could try using a fully-charged new or different battery. .
